Thompson Center Barrel

Very rare arrow shooting Thompson Contender barrel and arrow kit. Made by Black Arrow Arms in the late 80s or early 90s. I bought two complete sets. Each came with a dozen 2512 arrows 10 3/4, two boxes of blanks (1) power 5 and (1) power 6, barrel (which has the inner barrel, threaded outer barrel and a removable broadhead cover). The Pachmayr forend works the best with a little flexibility needed for the threaded barrel sleeve to be removed for shooting maintenance or cleaning. Bought both sets from the son of the guy who made and had the patent for making these for Contenders out of a sporting goods store on the east coast, I believe it was in Maine. I will also include a couple newer arrows made to not use the ones from the set to keep it a unused collectors set. With the age of the plastic fletching on the original arrows out of the kit they are a little fragile and would be torn up and need to be refletched if shot. This barrel has a Contender Duo mount, Nikon Monarch 2.5 x 8 EER scope and Pachmayr grip/forend. I chronographed it a couple years ago and I believe they are around an amazing 500 fps. Arrows are put over the inner barrel and fired by a 22 blank. I shot with a razor broad head it passed right through a Level 3 bullet proof vest! There was very little to no information to be found on the internet about these. Most my info came right from the guys son who I bought both from. He and his Dad each had put one kit aside years ago. You probably will never see another one of these for sale. Thanks for looking and let me know any questions you might have.
