This barrel will launch 220 grain bullets in the neighborhood of 1800 fps. This barrel’s twist rate will also stabilize the spire pointed 270 gr Hornady. You won’t find that load data in any of the books, it’s a load I have come up with and was entirely safe-no pressure signs exhibited on the case’s spent primers. Barrel comes with the 2x Tasco scope. The scope stood up to the recoil from this barrel, and, the recoil is stout. Not unbearable, but comparable to a stiff. I bought this barrel new from MGM a few years ago and put maybe 40 shots through it. Really, just did a bit of load development. Never hunted with it.
