I was going on an Idaho elk hunt and after I bought the barrel, I found out the regulations for the unit I was hunting in only allowed primitive black powder rifles, not modern like this barrel. So, I never shot it and now I don’t need it. Being stainless steel, it’ll resist corrosion better than blue steel and with blackpowder guns, that is always a real plus. I weighed the barrel and it is 4 lbs 5 oz. With the box I’m assuming the whole package will go 5 lbs.
