Thompson Center Barrel

Possibly a fairly “RARE” Caliber but just guessing here…. This is an Original Thompson Marked And Addressed Barrel. But from what I understand from my assessment it is a Joy Custom Barrel chambered in this particular caliber. It was my Uncle’s that has passed. He only collected it from the time he bought it new and has remained ” UN-FIRED”. And my Aunt knows nothing about it. So this is what information I got from researching myself. It is in like new condition and remains ” UN-FIRED “.. Just shows the normal rub marks from being on the action with forearm attached like they all get when put together, and the action being worked. It is also factory ” PORTED ” as can be seen in the photo’s. Both front and rear sights are included with this package and are new and unused just like the barrel. I have read that this caliber is an exceptional Big Game pistol cartridge with a quote of: ” THE ONE SHOT TO HAVE WHEN YOU ONLY HAVE ONE SHOT “. I believe it to be a Generation 1 barrel. I figure the real firearm experts here will know which one it is by looking at my pictures. Has been kept oiled and cleaned by myself like I do all my firearms since my ownership. My Uncle treated it the same way as he too was very picky and precise. Has always been kept in a clean, dry humidified gun safe, and in a smoke free environment. Please look at the pictures very closely as they are a very much a big part of the description for this item. These pictures does not do this barrel much justice but is the best I can do with my picture taking skills. It is in ” EXTRA FINE CONDITION WITH PERFECT BRIGHT BLUING “. One small scratch on rear right side of barrel that forearm probably made several inches long but is covered by forearm when assembled to frame. I really try to describe my items to the best of my knowledge and my best judgments. Please feel free to check my feedback… You will not be disappointed with the condition of this barrel.
