Thompson Center Barrel

Bullberry Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter Pistol Barrel. 17 HMR 9 Stainless. This barrel was aquired 2nd hand for a friend to build an Encore pistol around. Markings on barrel include Bullberry/Woodsmith, Hurricane UT 84737 and 17 HMR. The barrel measures 9″ long, and is 1″ wide tapering to 3/4 at the muzzle, which is crowned or relieved, I don’t know the term. This barrel appears to have what the website calls their hanger system / hanger bar, which seems to have something to do with accuracy. 17 HMR barrel they list is a Match grade barrel. There is an article on the website discussing how they developed their Match grade. This barrel does not say Match on the side. Sorry I can’t tell you more. Bullberry lists scope bases on their website, but they look different than this one, and I believe this one is made by somebody else. Bullberry says their rimfire barrels require the use of a rimfire adapter, says you can get from them, and tells how to use it. This Weaver P2s was given to me years ago, but I had no use for it. I finally gave it to a friend, who attached it to a pistol, but said he couldn’t get it to zero. It was sent to the address on the box for repair, but sent back untouched with a note that Weaver was acquired and shut down. I can see there is a website, WeaverOptics. Com, so again, I have no answer for you there. The scope itself seems to be well made, the barrel is stamped Stainless Weaver P2S and the crosshairs are clearly visible, but it may not ever do what it was meant to do. I’m including it here because it looks good with the barrel and it makes one less thing for me to list. I’m hoping that any problems can be resolved and it can be used… If not it’s just for decoration. Again, please verify using photos, visiting the web or asking questions – I’ll tell ya what I can.
