Thompson Center Barrel

Here is an early. Percussion barrel for Thompson Center Hawken Muzzleloader. It is an early one, as the serial number is only four digits. This barrel is 15/16 x 28. It is one of the so-called pre warning barrels, and doesnt have the Hawken name/logo stamped into it. Serial no is Kxxxx. In this case, the K indicating it is from a kit rifle is good. Whoever assembled the kit must have been in a hurry as they did not completely drawfile out the mill marks from making the octagon before finishing it. As a result this barrel is wideit mics at. Thus there is meat to remove to make it properly fit in many of the stocks out there. While the barrel is fully functional as it is, it would look better if it was properly smoothed up and refinished. The present finish is a nice brown one, with some rub marks. Bore is very goodno signs of pitting. Both sights are included, as well as tennon lug. I do not see any letter stamping in the underside. This weighs about 5 lbs unpacked. All sales considered final.
