Thompson Center Renegade Muzzleloader barrel 1. 50 Caliber, Nice Bore, in the white. Some time in a past life a previous owner thought it would be fun to try and “antique” his rifle. He probably wrapped vinegar soaked rags around it. This definitely ruined the bluing and made it look like it had mange. I removed the bluing only to find that it had slightly pitted the outside of the barrel in a few areas. If I was good with a draw file I would clean it right up. But, I’m not. So here is your opportunity at a clean slate. The bore feels nice and smooth when I run a patch down it, so I think the only problem is a little acne on the outside of the barrel.
