Thompson Center Hawken Barrel. Includes under rib, thimbles, breech plug. No sights or nipple. Bore in bright condition with a bore light and a patch goes down smoothly. Bluing in good condition. Early four digit serial number. Barrel is probably about 50 years old. Under rib has been drilled for a sling swivel. Top flat has four holes for a scope mount (no I don’t have the scope). The four holes have been filled with removable slotted plugs. 15/16″ x 28 15/16″ long. Bottom flat is marked with two Maltese crosses. This may be the mark of Hal Sharon or Douglas that made barrels for Thompson Center early in the production. If you disagree about the Sharon attribution, no need to message me. Barrel looks bent in the photos. It is straight, just what the camera turned out. Please pay within 3 days or contact me. Very “early five digit serial ” in very fine condition Thompson Center T/C Hawken 15/16th Inch 50 ca flintlock Barrel 29-inch hook shoulder to muzzle. 29-inch hook shoulder to muzzle. This is the standard style barrel. 1 in 66 twist checked by doing the patch method. Includes a brown fiberglass in color vintage T/C replacement rod. About this barrel and is age. This barrel does not have the Black powder Warning on it which puts it in to the pre. It is not marked Renegade or Hawken so it is very early 1970’s to 1980’s It has a 5-digit serial(69075) making it rather early but, that can’t nail a date down for certain. It does indicate it was probably pre 1976 T\C records were lost in fire (1997). What is known is 6 digits usually are used after the introduction of the renegade. Because of the model’s ie. Hawkin or Renegade name not being on the barrel We can assume that it is not from the 1980’s era. Rod guides are Brass, not Steel, you could assume it to be from 1973 first year model and July 1978 when Sharon closed the doors, with 1978 being the youngest dating possible. Knowing this, one could conclude it is a Sharon barrel made for T/C and most likely a Hawkin made in the during the first three years of of introduction of the Hawkins by T/C in 1973. At least 46 years old! It has nice clean rifling the bluing is 99% a few minor scratches and some thining of bluing around 6 inches below the bore end, probably from a P/U truck. One of the very nice barrels from this age I have ever seen. It was well kept. White painted bead on factory front sight and what looks like an ox-yoke brand replacement hole liner. No other modifications were made. Super sweet condition for something this old. I usually don’t see to many like this. Here is a stock from an EARLY T/C Factory made Hawken with a 15/16 Inch barrel channel. Ths one came from a used rifle. It has some nice grain structure. It shows a normal amount of light compression marks and scratches. All in all a ready to go very nice stock. It has no cracks, splits, or gouges. The butt plate and nose cap are included with this one due to the near impossibility of finding a “drop in” butt plate or nose cap. These two parts were hand fitted at the factory. This is a Early stock that has the Wide rear mounting tab on the trigger guard. Earlier guards will work with some filling. The stock has a very nice factory satin finish. Here is a stock from a EarlyT/C Factory made Hawken with a 15/16 Inch barrel channel. Ths one came from an used rifle. It has some nice grain structure. It shows a normal amount of scratches, perhaps a little more than normal below the cheek piece. It has s little epoxy inside the lock inlet. Cosmetic Only All in all a ready to go usable stock. It has no cracks, splits, or gouges. The butt plate and nose cap are included with this one due to the near impossibility of finding a “drop in” butt plate or nose cap. These two parts were hand fitted at the factory. This Early stock that has the wide rear mounting tab on the trigger guard. Early guards will work with some filling.
