I don’t have experience evaluating a barrel like this, especially the bore, I can clearly see the rifling and I can also see OXIDATION spots and patches down the bore. I tried to take photos but besides what is near the ends it’s hard to show (although I did take a series of photos looking down the bore and moving the focus). MISSING the FRONT SIGHT. MISSING one of the ramrod fittings. There is a fitting on the opposite side of the barrel as the rear sight, I don’t know what was there. The exterior has some rust patches and spots. The end cap section that unthreads (I can’t think of the name), threads smoothly, I noted that when fully threaded the octagonal faces don’t align with the barrel (like there needs to be a thin spacer there to make it stop for alignment), if positioned to align with the faces/sides of the barrel it is aligned on all sides. The three rust patches you see on the left side/bottom are the worst of it, some lighter patches around the area where the barrel is maker marked, some other wear including small nicks etc. But overall the bluing isn’t bad (a lot of small imperfections but not too bad). I don’t know to what extent the oxidation down the bore affects how this could be used or to what extent it would need to be re-worked (I can smell some gun cleaner in the barrel so was probably at least gone through with a cleaning rod).
