GONIC ARMS GA90 THOMPSON CONTENDER 45 CALIBER MUZZLELOADER 15-7/8 PISTOL BARREL MAKE ME AN OFFER This barrel looks brand new. It might have been fired before I bought it, but it was properly cleaned and kept in really good condition. I bought it to use on my G1 Contender, but then ended up finding a nice Encore muzzleloader so this just took a back seat. The appeal of these barrels is that they seem to be the ONLY muzzleloader option for the original G1 Contenders. From what I understand, there is something about Gonic Arms owning the patent rights on muzzleloader barrels for the G1 that makes these barrels the only muzzleloader option for the original G1 Contenders… Although they are also supposed to fit on the G2 Contenders as well. Thompson supposedly switched to the G2 Contender and of course the Encore, at least in part, to avoid patent infringement. The owner of Gonic Arms was a former employee of Thompson. Sadly, he passed away and so did his company. There are just a few itsy bitsy nicks here and there, but you have to really look for them. Not sure if anybody collects these, but you might have a hard time finding another one nicer than this one. Bore is clean and bright. It also comes with a nice black synthetic forearm. I think it’s the one Thompson makes for their G2 muzzleloader. It looks good and works well to hold the ramrod. I believe these Gonic barrels will work on both the G1 and G2 Contenders.
