Thompson Center Barrel

LESS THAN 15 ROUNDS FIRED THROUGH THIS BARREL!! When I shot it at the range with bear loads, it put three rounds within an inch of each other at 100 yards. Never hunted with it. THE ORIGINAL WILLIAMS PEEP SITE AND THE TRUGLO FRONT SITE ARE INCLUDED. The scope is a Vortex crossfire 2-7x32mm with standard duplex reticle. Originally I had just a 1-4 power scope on this bbl and was still able to get within an 1 with 3 shots at 100 yards. Other ammo could do better. This Stainless Steel KATAHDIN barrel measures 20 long and is Stainless Steel and Fluted. This length makes for a rifle that is super pleasant to carry. In my opinion, the shorter factory barrels were more accurate than the 28 pro hunter barrels. The scope is in very good condition and it is not sighted in yet. The rings are steel and the base is a standard weaver base. There are lens caps for the scope. If I remember correctly, this bbl also like the hornady superperformance 45-70 govt. I use mostly wood custom stocks and this bbl fit my forearms just fine. Again the williams rear peep site is included as well as the front truglo site and all the mounting hardware is there for the sights. While the bear loads I fired through the bbl had some recoil, especially bc the scope I had mounted then weighed almost nothing, but in my opinion, the Hornady 45-70 ammo which has excellent ballistics, is far from the worst recoil I’ve experienced. The power to take bear and moose and in a nice compact encore Katahdin rifle that is easy to maneuver with and more accurate than many bolt rifles. If you have any questions please ask.
