The one you’ve been awaiting! Here’s an early production 50 caliber Barrel from a Factory made Thompson Center Hawken. The bore is Bright and shiney with no pitting. This Rifle has the sought after Sharon Spade Stamp. The bore nor the fire channel below or around the nipple shows any use. The factory blue still covers the lands and grooves and the area below the nipple and the nipple threads still show blue. The clean out screws comes out easily. All that shows in the bore is shine and tool marks from lack of use. (The lighting in photo #1 exaggerates the rifling tool marks). This one will be easy to load and clean. It is 29″x 15/16″ including the breech plug. The nipple threads are excellent. I was told the barrel was Unfired and my examination supports that. This barrel should produce excellent competition and hunting accurracy. This is the barrel and factory installed breech plug only. Here’s a 54 Caliber Drop in Barrel Assembly for a Thompson Center Hawken. This Drop in Assembly was made entirely by Green mountain but THE SIGHTS ARE NOT Green Mountain. The rear sight appears to be an early Renegade type. They have been fixed in place and will not adjust without cleaning and adjusting. The front sight is a modified 3/8 dovetail sight. The bore is Bright and shiney with no dicernable pitting. I blew up photos so you could see the beautiful bore. This barrel shows some usage with scattered light surface flaws, with the factory bluing turning to a nice brown patina. It is 33″×15/16″ including the breech plug. The nipple threads are excellent. This one is a really nice barrel. This barrel will produce wonderful accuracy. This is the Green Mountain barrel and Green Mountain installed breech plug with the underlug and under rib with upgraded brass thimbles. This barrel was lightly used by an insane friend of mine. He did try to remove the breech plug but failed. Shows the marks of his Attempt but still a factory fitted breech plug. It still shows sharp and clean threads in the nipple hole. Here’s the final sales pitch. A rare 15/16 Green Mountain drop in, in 54caliber. With this hard to find barrel you can easily harvest galloping mooses with your Thompson center Hawken.
