All parts show only slight signs of use and age. I’m not sure if it’s ever been fired or not, if it has it couldn’t have been much. The bore is excellent as is the breech area. All parts work properly. The only issue I see is the front sight doesn’t have the neon on the inside. Overall very nice lightly used assembly. Message me for more information. Here’s a 54 Caliber Drop in Barrel Assembly for a Thompson Center Hawken. This Drop in Assembly was made entirely by Green mountain but THE SIGHTS ARE NOT Green Mountain. The rear sight appears to be an early Renegade type. They have been fixed in place and will not adjust without cleaning and adjusting. The front sight is a modified 3/8 dovetail sight. The bore is Bright and shiney with no dicernable pitting. I blew up photos so you could see the beautiful bore. This barrel shows some usage with scattered light surface flaws, with the factory bluing turning to a nice brown patina. It is 33″×15/16″ including the breech plug. The nipple threads are excellent. This one is a really nice barrel. This barrel will produce wonderful accuracy. This is the Green Mountain barrel and Green Mountain installed breech plug with the underlug and under rib with upgraded brass thimbles. This barrel was lightly used by an insane friend of mine. He did try to remove the breech plug but failed. Shows the marks of his Attempt but still a factory fitted breech plug. It still shows sharp and clean threads in the nipple hole. Here’s the final sales pitch. A rare 15/16 Green Mountain drop in, in 54caliber. With this hard to find barrel you can easily harvest galloping mooses with your Thompson center Hawken.
