This one is amazingly well-mannered considering you’re burning over 50 grains of powder each time you touch one off. To be sure you’ll know there’s some recoil to it, but, it is not bad. This barrel shot well with most loads I put through it, until I got up to the 117 and 120 grain bullets, then, it got finicky. It did not like boat tail bullets at all. It showed a preference for the lightweights, up to 100 grains, which is perfect for deer anyway. Let’s talk about the Sierra 75 grain Hollow Point. These bullets clocked across the sky screens at 3007 fps!! Groups at 100 yards you can cover with a quarter. There are the usual wear marks for an Encore barrel and it does come with the front sight and a Weaver scope base.
