Bullberry Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter Pistol Barrel. 17 HMR 9 Stainless. This barrel was aquired 2nd hand for a friend to build an Encore pistol around. Markings on barrel include Bullberry/Woodsmith, Hurricane UT 84737 and 17 HMR. The barrel measures 9″ long, and is 1″ wide tapering to 3/4 at the muzzle, which is crowned or relieved, I don’t know the term. This barrel appears to have what the website calls their hanger system / hanger bar, which seems to have something to do with accuracy. 17 HMR barrel they list is a Match grade barrel. There is an article on the website discussing how they developed their Match grade. This barrel does not say Match on the side. Sorry I can’t tell you more. Bullberry lists scope bases on their website, but they look different than this one, and I believe this one is made by somebody else. Bullberry says their rimfire barrels require the use of a rimfire adapter, says you can get from them, and tells how to use it. This Weaver P2s was given to me years ago, but I had no use for it. I finally gave it to a friend, who attached it to a pistol, but said he couldn’t get it to zero. It was sent to the address on the box for repair, but sent back untouched with a note that Weaver was acquired and shut down. I can see there is a website, WeaverOptics. Com, so again, I have no answer for you there. The scope itself seems to be well made, the barrel is stamped Stainless Weaver P2S and the crosshairs are clearly visible, but it may not ever do what it was meant to do. I’m including it here because it looks good with the barrel and it makes one less thing for me to list. I’m hoping that any problems can be resolved and it can be used… If not it’s just for decoration. Again, please verify using photos, visiting the web or asking questions – I’ll tell ya what I can. Bullberry custom rifle barrel for the TC encore and Pro Hunter. 22 wmr (mag) MATCH CHAMBER. 21 long and the barrel profile is Bullberry’s heavy varmint which measures. 850 at the muzzle. LISTING IS FOR THE BARREL AND BULLBERRY HANGER BAR ONLY. NO SCOPE, MOUNT OR RINGS ARE INCLUDED. The rifle length hanger bar creates a more stable and accurate platform to mount the forearm to the barrel. This barrel is in excellent used condition and the only marks I see anywhere are very slight frame marks that I tried to include in the photos. Nice target crown at the muzzle. The rifling looks excellent and the match chamber should produce excellent accuracy. I bought this barrel preowned and never fired it. Letting this one go because I have a Bullberry Contender rifle barrel in 22 WMR, without a match chamber and it will put 5 shots in one ragged hole at 80 yards. It is chambered in 7mm US and it comes with the reloading dies. The 7mm US is a wildcat based on a necked down and slightly shortened. The initial pass through the resizing die shoves the shoulder back to where it needs to be and after fire forming you have a very efficient cartridge for pistol length barrels. Please see the pictures for the two brass cases. The case on the left is the 7mm US and the one on the right is the parent. This being a Bullberry you know it shoots well. I had nothing but success with this barrel in bullets weights from 100 grain Hornady HPs to 160 grain Sierra boattails. Twist rate is 1-9. Every load I put together for this barrel shot well, just varying levels of excellence for accuracy. In the pictures I show a TC Rynite forend on the barrel. This is to demonstrate that the dovetails are for TC Contender spacing and not Bullberry spacing. The Sierra load manual that came out a couple years ago has plenty of load data for the 7mm US. I bought the dies from EA Brown and it appears to me the resizing die is a Lee die and the seating die is a Hornady die. The resizing die is marked 7 US but the seating die has no markings at all as to the caliber. As you can see the barrel is drilled and tapped for both a front and rear sight.
