The one you’ve been awaiting! Here’s an early production 50 caliber Barrel from a Factory made Thompson Center Hawken. The bore is Bright and shiney with no pitting. This Rifle has the sought after Sharon Spade Stamp. The bore nor the fire channel below or around the nipple shows any use. The factory blue still covers the lands and grooves and the area below the nipple and the nipple threads still show blue. The clean out screws comes out easily. All that shows in the bore is shine and tool marks from lack of use. (The lighting in photo #1 exaggerates the rifling tool marks). This one will be easy to load and clean. It is 29″x 15/16″ including the breech plug. The nipple threads are excellent. I was told the barrel was Unfired and my examination supports that. This barrel should produce excellent competition and hunting accurracy. This is the barrel and factory installed breech plug only.
