The choke is removable. This is a 10 inch overall with choke. The screw attachment on the bottom of the barrel has been soldered (NOT WELDED) so as not to fall out and get lost as was a common problem from these early vintage barrels. This is an octagon barrel thus requires the correct forend. The screw that is with this barrel may be too short for some forends. You can also shoot 44 special and 44 mags with the choke removed.
